Scotchgard protection products are branded fluorochemicals developed and manufactured only by 3M. They create an invisible shield around each fiber, which resists oily and watery liquids and soil.
Teflon delivers durable, long-lasting protection by forming a molecular shield around the fibers guarding them from oil-and-water-based stains, dust and soil.
Factory application provides the greatest degree of repellency to stains and is the most durable. This built-in protection is heat-bonded to each fiber during application.
